My newest contest involves taking this pony lineart (below) and colouring it with your own design. Why? For the lulz, really. I like customising MLP figures but generally my ideas/designs suck, so I figured I'd do it this way instead.

The winner will be chosen by my watchers via a poll out of 5 - 10 designs handpicked by me and anyone I choose to help me judge (for example, I may find the assistance of another MLP customizer from around dA or bribe some CVs... or I may find both. I don't know who our judges are, ok? ) Aaaanyway... So we will choose 5-10 designs, depending how many people enter, and then the winner will be chosen by the masses via a poll.

You don't need to be able to draw well or be able to colour well, you just need to be creative and hey this is an art site so I assume we're all just that. You may also need some vague interest in My Little Pony customisation or you'll probably get bored

The winner will get their design made into a real MLP custom figure by me as best I can, and they will also win 500 points (postage on the pony payable by the winner, but hey at least the custom itself is free!)

If people can donate to me and help me raise 1000 dA points before the deadline in July, there will be two runner-up place prizes as well!

There seems to be some confusion... so let me clear that up. Yes you DO have to use the provided base template. Why? Because that is the exact pose of the G3 pony I have available to make the custom. I'll be copying the winning design onto the figure exactly, and this is the pose of the pony.

And to clear up the other bit of confusion, yes I am turning the winning design into an actual MLP figure, it's not just a random design contest, you can see the design turned into a real custom afterwards, hence me providing a template in the first place lol


It could not be simpler :3 Still, here's a few pointers to keep things fair:


Own design only - you cannot collaborate or use existing MLP designs (you can enter a pony OC of yours if you like, just put your OC's design onto the design sheet)
No textures/patterns - anything you put onto the design must be something I can put onto a real MLP figure
You CAN add things like horns, wings, feathers, sunglasses and a straw hat... whatever you like, really - make your design stand out from the crowd but also keep in mind that sometimes less is more (yeah I'm just saying that coz I have to make it lol)
If you use any stock for references, please remember to credit your sources
Keep your designs viewable by all plx, I can tell you now I aint making a 'Pornopony'
Your design MUST be coloured, but does not have to be shaded
You must NAME your pony and include the following in the description:

Name:
Male/Female:
Body colour:
Eye colour:
Mane/Tail colour(s):
Markings: (ie any symbols or patterns you've added to your design)
Distinguishable features: (ie, horn, wings, etc)
Other: (eg, if your pony wears glasses, etc)
